History

Aberdeen Airport has roots at Dyce aerodrome dating to 1934. The North Sea oil boom of the 1970s transformed it into one of the world's busiest heliports and drove investment in passenger terminal facilities. AGS Airports took over from BAA in 2014. A new terminal extension opened in 2016.
